Talking about life eternal and where we shall have it spent emanates alot of contradictions, misunderstandings, arguments and misinterpretations of the Bible thereby giving birth to divers doctrines and teachings besides that of Christ and his apostles. It occurred to me lately that there is need to consider the "beatitude" when talking of eternal life. Let's consider 4 of them talking about Heaven and Earth out of the 10 we've got.
1. Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 2. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the Earth. 3. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 4. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Apart from other verses in the Bible, the "beatitudes" alone clearly states that not all shall dwell in Heaven. You can see from 1 and 4 above that only those belonging to that category shall be there.
Now being in Heaven, ranking comes to play, the 'b' part of 3 says "for they shall see God", who are those in this class? only but "of a pure heart". So do not dream of seeing God when you're as crooked as scoliosis. Oh yeah do not even forget the fact that not all angels sees the Father (Matthew 18:10) so if some of the angels being immortal without sin do not see the father and you could have a pure heart, surely at the end some of us shall be greater than them.
And unto Earth, we should in no wise assert that this Earth shall be completely do away with. Oh no for what purpose was it created then? For they shall come a new Earth (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1). Just let the doctrine you're holding on to be (most of us are following the doctrine of man) let's all be open minded towards the diverse doctrine of Christ. 2 above mentioned that those belonging in this category shall inherit the Earth (Psalms 37:9; 37:11). Evil shall be eliminated, the wicked shall be cut off (Palms 37:22) and only the righteous shall live, living under the government of no man but God's
